I attend a Reconstructionist synagogue and while I know our numbers are small it would be interesting to see what percentage of your customers are like me. Thank you

I am a secular Jew who enjoys the rituals. My dad still belongs to the reform Temple Beth Hillel in North Hollywood, CA (where I attended religious school from age 4 until confirmation) and I go with him sometimes, especially on Yahrseit for my mother or special musical programs on Friday night. It\'s easy to be secular and feel \"safe\" and protected from anti-Semitism in a huge town like L.A.(Sherman Oaks CA)

To the LA guy. Who said being Jeish is about being safe?!

I teach 4th grade in a Catholic elementary school. The novel I teach is Number the Stars, we visit our town\'s Temple, learn about the Jewish faith and discover diversity. Our next generations can be better!

Hi, I used to go to Reform, but it just got disgusting. They pick and choose what they feel like, with no respect to the word of the law. I met Chabad and see their love and concern for every Jew with compromising even the slightest bit. Chabad is the largest outreach organization out there, they are very well set up and are strong and passionate in their mission. I wish reform would learn a little from them.

I am not Jewish, I am Catholic. But I have Jewish ancesors and am interested in the Jewish culture and faith, since I believe we are all brothers. I also moderate a yahoogroup: jewish-recipe@yahoogroups.com, and have been researching gelt recipes. I wish you a Happy and beautful Chanukah

I am not Jewish (but sometimes I feel I am in my heart). I am a Christian Teacher who believes her students should be very thankful and aware of their Jewish Roots. My students enjoy the story of Chanuka and especially love the Dreidels and the Gelt!

I am not aware of any Jewish ancestry, however my surname is rather Hebrew? I am a Christian who understands and is grateful for his Hebrew Roots. My family and fellowship have embraced this rich Jewish heritage and we celebrate Shabbat and the Jewish festivals. We avoid the Christian festivals that have pagan roots and so the Jewish festivals have become all the more enjoyable. Bless you

I am Messianic.

Note to Stanley: Your remark about reform Judaism really got my attention. It was rude and unnecessary. You could say it \"disgusted\" me. We should all worship freely without making a remark like this.

I\'m a conservative politically. I live in the area of Austin, TX, which is very LIBERAL. The synagogues here cater to the Liberals and I can\'t support it. They support gay and lesbian rights and go to marches for them. I can\'t do that. Although, I believe that they should be left alone and not be persecuted, I also don\'t believe that a RELIGIOUS organization should go out and Lobby or do marches for them. Gays are not revered in the Torah. They are in personal mortal sin. They should be left alone, but not exulted. I don\'t believe that the Torah had that in mind. The LIBERAL thinking of my fellow Jews, I believe, is a perversion of Judaism. That is NOT Judaism. I think that the Conservative approach is more in line with Judaism. I\'m not Orthodox and it\'s not practical for me to keep kosher or to function very differently. I live in Texas, after all. If I lived in Israel that would be different or if my community was different I would partake more in the Temple, but as it stands, I can not support those who support the LIBERAL thinking. It\'s not my cup of tea.

Irina - You are picking out what parts of Torah are correct and what parts don\'t need to be followed? - \"I can\'t support the liberal synagogues where I live because being gay is a mortal sin but I don\'t keep kosher because it\'s not practical for me\" Judaism is an active, vibrant, evolving religion not stagnant: Try to be the best person you can be. A wonderful quote by Maimonides interpreting the Mishna says \"each person is believed to have goodness within them, and that one who judges needs to look for those good qualities.\" Mazel Tov

I am a \"Torah Jew\" I believe the Torah is the book of truth. Anyone who put\'s a human before Ha\'Shem has to realize that it doesnt change what is-what is the truth! Hope♥everyone has a great Chanukah! <3
